The casino

Parq's floor is design-led — a smart, contemporary room of table games, a poker room and slots, built to feel like part of a luxury complex rather than a hall on its own. It is the downtown choice: less about raw scale, more about a polished city night out.

It rarely feels cavernous, and it is easy to fold a couple of hours at the tables into a bigger evening of dinner, a drink on the rooftop and the city outside the door.

The rooms

Two hotels share the tower — the full-service JW Marriott and the boutique Douglas, around 500 rooms combined, both genuinely high-end. You pick your style and stay a lift-ride from the tables and the restaurants.

For a downtown stay-and-play, having two distinct hotels on one site is a real edge: business polish or boutique quiet, your call, both steps from the floor.

Dining & extras

The dining is the headline: around a dozen restaurants and bars, plus a spa, a large event space and a landscaped rooftop park six storeys up. For a night in the city, the range on site is unmatched among Canadian casino-hotels.

That range is what makes it work as a downtown base: you can eat well, catch an event and never need to plan the evening far in advance, with the city there when you want it.

Location & value

Parq sits downtown beside BC Place, steps from the seawall, Yaletown and transit. You pay city prices, but you are in the heart of Vancouver with a casino downstairs — the pick for travellers who want the city as much as the gaming.

For a car-free city break it is close to ideal: the airport is a straight SkyTrain ride away, and everything worth doing downtown is within a short walk of the door.
